Lowkey had a shitload of Kurt Russell aura farming and that’s about it. Is the movie kind of fun to watch, yes, is it even remotely a good movie, also yes. It’s just weirdly directed, like a whole lot of random slow motion weirdly directed. Big Kurt calling his love interest sir was a weird directorial choice, that shit made me cringe every time. The story overall just kinda sucks as well, it’s super funky with an awkward love story and weird random characters. If you took a shot of whiskey every time they said soldier, you would die. I don’t need to rewatch.

A fast, action packed, touching move made only better by a pretty great performance by Kurt Russell.
The movie follows a genetically engineered soldier played by Kurt Russell. He is abandoned on a trash planet after his upgrade beats him on a fight. On the planet he finds community and people but when the soldiers come back he fights back against them to save his new people.
The movie isn't perfect but it his touching especially when he meets the people on the planet. It's nice to see how he develops and learns to live the people and his past.
When the soldiers come back the action is fun and cool to watch. Kurt Russell is a one man army here and well his just awesome. The fight with the upgrade in the end was very entertaining too.
The movie looks great too. I like the visual story telling. The planet looks good and it's a fun setting for the fights and story.
This is definitely an underrated Sci fi action movie. It has a fun story and feels very human with Kurt Russell performance. It's a very entertaining movie all around.

I started this film expecting it to be somewhat of a spinoff to the “Blade Runner” series but it literally has nothing to do with any of the other “Blade Runner” films, it did have a tiny piece of the concept but nothing else, anyways about how it was as a film, it one of those 80s Disney films where the main character is overlooked but he later on shows everyone that he’s the best at what he does, not bad but it was disappointing, it had a home alone kinda plot but in a dystopian setting and the main character is a soldier so it was underwhelming compared to my expectations at least.

(If you are going to watch the “Blade Runner”series, I recommend that you don’t watch this film because it is unnecessary to the whole series)
