It’s remarkable how everything a film needs is present here in perfect harmony: psychological complexity, an outstanding cast, and superb character development. The final sequence, in which the man Veronica has been trying to escape from (Burans) suddenly becomes the heroic figure, while Seth - who seemed to be her refuge - unwillingly turns into the antagonist, is especially powerful.

Wtf did I just watch. It was so grotesque I think I was hardly looking at the screen for the later half of the movie. I can’t believe David Cronenberg made the masterpiece crash 10 years after this.

Initially I wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into, still don't really know what I got myself into; I dig it though.

I watched ‘The Fly’ today, and honestly, I'm having a hard time describing my reaction to it. David Cronenberg's movie is just incredible and very creepy. Seeing a guy slowly turn into a fly with some killer practical effects and makeup, and Jeff Goldblum's performance, it's all top-notch.

What really gets to me is that it just makes total sense. You can really grasp and even feel for how it all unraveled, which just adds to the sadness. And there's nothing Seth can do to turn things around. You're just seeing a terrible tragedy unfold, bit by bit. The part where Seth shows up at the end... that was just way scarier to me than ‘Alien’ or anything similar to that, You know deep down it's still Seth. All in all, this movie was incredible! I was totally shocked and devastated at the same time. Seeing the character I really cared about slowly and surely fall apart was super tough to watch.
