The different sections work perfectly and are very engaging.
Spielberg seems like the coolest guy, and everyone involved, especially Rachel Zegler, is insanely talented.

west side story is a story about love. unconditional love. it’s about people in the margins who are just trying to find their place in the world. and hold onto love where they can find it…it’s about love and how it can carry you through. it can destroy you but it can be your saving grace.
i’m wounded. completely. i love west side story so much!!! and this has made me appreciate the creation of it even more. because the amount of care put into this movie is frankly astonishing. somehow i came out even more emotional then any time i’ve actually watched west side story. but it just perfectly showed all the reasons why i love it. the making of this film is my roman empire.

Ansel really had the audacity to try and say that he ‘unfortunately’ had to play moody Tony and couldn’t dance in the gym with the rest of the ensemble. He cannot dance for the life of him. Who is he trying to kid?
