Adult Adoption is deliciously awkward, quirky and an aesthetic dream with a stunning lead performance from Ellie Moon and great acting from the whole ensemble cast, specifically Leah Doz who navigates some of the tricker dialogue in this movie.
The clothing, set, and score paint a vivid portrait of the world our main character Rosy inhabits. The intimate relationship we as the audience have with Rosy allows us to feel everything as she does. This visceral portrayal is so authentic and is made even more powerful realizing Moon wrote the script for this movie.
Everything I love about indie films culminates here, I think this is a brilliant artful new film that delves into a unique life experience, that ends with an emotional and soft self loving punch to the gut.
