this movie has got me hysterically sobbing at 2 am, this movie was so genuine, raw and emotive. it was so beautiful. the cinematography is everything, the realism of his ptsd and flashbacks, its almost as if we were taking the journey with bernie.
this was a genuinely heartbreaking film, everything about it was delivered so well. this movie shows the realness of how loss can and will affect everyone differently, everyone grieves differently. ptsd and flashbacks are also shown so spectacularly throughout this film, making everything seem so real.
It made me so ill when it was brought up that rene was going to die first, and she knew she was, but refused to tell anyone, not even bernie. but what made that worse was;
"bernie died six months after his trip to france. rene went with him, seven days later."
