I bet this was actually so cute when it came out. Unfortunately it didn’t age all that well. The internet was not just some silly little fad that made for a spectacular meet cute that is always movie worthy. I’d venture to guess the vast majority of couples meet online nowadays and corporations are tearing down small businesses day after day.
By far the best part of the movie is the exceptional romanticization of the upper west side. If there is one place I would move to in the city, it is the upper west side. They captured it in all the best ways including a lovely little Lincoln Square AMC shot of the maze of escalators.
