9.8/10 I wouldn’t even turn down Penelope Cruz if I was paralyzed. And Seth Rogen thank you for reminding everyone how amazing of an actor you are. Easily one of the most effortlessly hilarious actors in a while. His performance was so spectacular to me and I was absolutely impressed. But Olivia Wilde may have one of my favorite performances of the year as well. Such a captivating performance that was just wonderful to watch. All 4 actors do their jobs great and they are what makes this amazing movie. The Invite is such a great display of what a marriage falling apart looks like. The movie is just so damn entertaining and that final scene was just perfect. And my grandpa doesn’t rate movies high so I knew this was amazing when he gave it a 8/10. (Rare for anything to get a above a 6.5/10)

Opening to a black screen with Seth Rogans laugh I should’ve known how funny this was going to be. The most I’ve belly laughed at a film in a very long time and it also has some great emotional moments towards the end. All four performances are probably my favourites of the year so far. Olivia Wilde I’m so glad you dropped Harry Styles that he was dog shit in don’t worry darling. Probably just about my movie of the year until now.

really good stuff from Olivia Wilde. really creative screenplay and the comedy was very well done without being repetitive. go in without knowing anything.
my main gripes were the change of tone in the third act was a bit too quick. i also didn’t really love the other couple disappearing. Maybe that was meant to be the transition for the change in tone
