If this came out today it would probably feature the video of Charlie Kirk being shot in slow mo with an ominous voiceover

An exploitative, deeply unpleasant documentary, purely consisting of archival footage and images of murders, suicides, assassinations, crime scenes, autopsies, dead bodies and more. The Killing of America aims to showcase the rampant crime and corruption of the USA, yet it does absolutely nothing to explore the social or political issues underlining almost all of the tragedies shown throughout the doc. The filmmakers seemingly take no interest in anything other than the pure shock-value of seeing countless people dead and/or dying on film, which to me is deeply exploitative and honestly quite disgusting. There is nothing artful about this documentary, as there is not even a single attempt to say anything of substance regarding the events covered in the film. The audience is told the names of the people involved, what they did and subsequently what happened to them. The way the film deals out this information to the audience is formulaic, objective and purely statistical, which feels incredibly disrespectful, exploitative and thoroughly distasteful.
