The film has massive potential exploring identity and heritage but it just doesn't come together honestly, I'm a little confused at how it was presented cause it just felt lifeless due to the timeline jumps & the emotional payoff feels unearned. I can appreciate that it's well crafted and I like the minimalist approach to it but I'm struggling to feel the emotional impact

Not entirely sure if I liked this or not, but there’s such a deep melancholy in this film that makes it hard to ignore. The main character was deeply unlikable but at the same time very realistic. Can’t say I’ll watch this again, but can see where the hype came from.
