Eager to find a better life abroad, a Senegalese woman becomes a mere governess to a family in southern France, suffering from discrimination and marginalization.
That scene gave me the feeling I had when I watched that one scene in Funeral Parade of Roses.
Holy Fuck.

a well-defined exploration of post-colonial dehumanization and destruction. not much else to say.

Very good film about imperialism and colonialism and showing the effects of the oppressive systems. Want to give it a higher rating but just let down by the acting and pacing/direction.
