Set in the late 70s, this gritty and twisted film taps the physical and mental underpinnings of the meaning of the word "brother" in a way reminiscent of the best of late 70s grindhouse and early 80s slashers.

This movie’s the first time I’ve heard a man call another man “bitch” unironically, and it sounded so off😭😭
Anyways this was a very good flick. It definitely achieved the exploitation and sleaze-forward tone it was aiming for. Some scenes reminded me of Giallo in Venice. Has even more male nudity than the slumber party remake. And I’m not complaining. So much depravity too.
It gets the era right, especially in the costume department. The film also looks like a restored 70s drive in flick.
The hazing sequences are truly some of the meanest I’ve ever seen.
The slasher elements are done really well, with some nasty kills and practical effects (a knife stab through the mouth will always get me!)
The only problem with this is that it goes on a bit too long and starts to get convoluted, especially in the third act. But still, it’s a fun ride. And a really underrated one too.
