i understand the mother just wants to protect her daughter, but being overly protective isn’t the right way to handle it. this film really proves the saying, “strict parents raise sneaky kids.” because she doesn’t trust her daughter—due to her own past mistakes—it creates a rift in their relationship, causing her daughter to become more private and hormonal, and to explore things just to spite her. we’ve all had our lisa moments. if only the guys i talked to on tumblr at 14 had looked as good as richard… but not crazy, obviously.

Honestly a unique take. Like boy crazy teen girl who essentially stalks older men and becomes infatuated with someone who ends up being a serial killer and leads him to her mom. Good pacing and a cool aesthetic. Def a made for TV movie which I personally love. I feel like the serial killer had to have inspired American psycho??? Like down to the Mies van der Rohe chairs the look and vibe was similar and this came out 10 years prior.

It truly is crazy how underrated this film is. I asked my mom about this film and she said she had seen it years ago when she was younger. This film gives such a sunset strip, late 80s/early 90s, school girl, mysterious murder vibe and I absolutely live for it! This seems like a cozy but eerie movie you’d watch with friends during middle school at a sleepover, or something your mom in the 90s would show you to be aware of strangers, I truly love this film and wish it’d get more recognition than it has.
