Feels like perception of universalis of gloom itself. Hapless, tiring because of the emptiness of MC's life, then progressively sader and lonelier. Just of that slow progression it seemed boring at first, ( that's why it isn't rated >4stars) but with all that despair and vice that beclouds everything as movie goes on, with that intensity in the end – no doubt – it is phenomenal.
