But the trauma of captivity continues to torment her and surface in dreamlike ways. It wasn't my intention or goal for the Ukrainian film that I watched this year was to be about the ongoing conflict. I didn't want Ukraine to be nothing more than it's interactions and relationship with Russia.
But now that I have see this film; Butterfly Vision 2022, I have realised that this is apart of Ukrainian culture and expression, that the artists of Ukraine are living through this conflict as well as the rest of the nation. It is a bit of a shame, but it is also a sad truth.
I like this a decent amount story wise, the performances are good and the editing is also great. My biggest gripe on a technical level is I feel many scenes would've be improved with steady cam. I know this type of personal, borderline documentary type of feature has great use of hand help cinematography as it makes the shots seem more human and natural. Though it's not like steady cam was absent from the film, there was just some scenes I felt would've been better with it's inclusion

Very subtle in its portrayal of trauma as it builds continually, eventually arriving at a climax that is jarring but also sickeningly understandable. It hurts that such harrowing tales are not dissimilar to real life events.

добряче злякалася вибуху,коли карась на мінімалках застрелився–подумала,шо шось реально йобнуло
а взагалі фільм дуже топ. мені здався не настіки важким,як люду з твіттеру,але від деяких моментів поплавило конкретно
пі.сі.- я до останнього не вірила,шо там ряльно грає пан майор, і це все сміхуєчка, тож уявіть мій шок при його появі
