The forest legend never really gets explained.
The ending is really shitty, where are we? In Lotr? With ents?
It is also just incredibly frustrating and unrealistic how many signs others missed. The supernatural powers of spawning forests also just didn't really fit into this movie.
Its strengths really lie in the middle part of the crescendo of problems and anxiety

Franchement le film tente des trucs, ça aborde certains sujets intéressant, la mécanique de pas voir le gosse est plutôt cool mais mal exploité.

first ever postpartum horror movie where the father is genuinely not at fault at all lmao Ron deserved better
still, it’s a pretty formulaic and uninspired take on a movie i feel like i’ve seen like 300 times. the great sense of humor can only do so much to make up for that fact. reminded me loads of die my love but with a monster baby instead of an awful fucking dog
