Wes Is Dying

I’m getting the feeling that this is more of a project made by men for men. I don’t believe that men aren’t allowed to make things, but as I was watching this I literally felt like I could smell the cologne through the screen. I just don’t think I was the correct audience for this, I mean the film is about friendship between men, something I could never fully understand. 

I thought it was charming, but also very male.

A buddy road comedy for the covid era, Wes Is Dying explores the alienation of the pandemic while also poking fun at the crass commercialism that surrounds everything and poisons everything - including interpersonal relationships. It's a nice little comedy that is heartwarming and familiar without making any swings that are too big and that's fine
