I do appreciate that there's plenty of amazing gore in here and the christmas horror vibes were great but man the stupidity of the characters annoyed the hell out of me! The 1974 original will always be the superior version as it was able to be genuinely unsettling but this remake just felt like a standard slasher with no intriguing aspects to it whatsoever. I will admit that the visual and style of the movie was surprisingly good & eye catching, made up for some of the obvious flaws it had. Maybe if this had been it's own thing rather than a remake of a masterpiece I would've enjoyed the slasher cheesiness of it all, atleast it's not as bad as the ATROCIOUS HORRENDOUS PG13 2019 TRASH remake....god that one was awful.
