There are interesting points in the story/plot, but the movie revolves way too much around the action scenes, like the fights or the car chases (theses scenes are great tho), its not boring but it definitely isn’t entertaining for the second half of the movie and you might not understand whats happening for the first half of the movie, they could have made it a lot better. The film sets didnt really feel connected to what is happening in the story, and the acting was generally mediocre.
However, that still was a good experience and makes me want to watch the other movies of the franchise

Fury Road is one of my favourite films, so I was kinda excited to watch the beginning of the series. And while there are some solid scenes, Mad Max is, unfortunately, a little bit jumbled and messy. The basis of the dystopian universe isn't fully established here, and the characterisation could use some work, but the vehicle chases are awesome. Mel Gibson is a piece of shit, and though I tried not to let that affect my judgement of his performance in this film, it was still very lacking. Overall, not necessarily a bad start, but I hope the next films in the series are a bit better.
