They spend more budget and effort on the disgusting, disturbing, gorey, perverty rapey scene than they did on the action sequences.

Watching this OVA Back-to-back with the manga arc just really highlights the pointlessness of the OVA itself. It's as if the manga itself wasn't violent enough this adaptation decided to double down on it by adding unnecessary and drawn out rape scenes that is just exploitative and disturbing, as a result the character of Jun also gets reduced from her initial bigger role as a heroine in the story arc to just being a random damsel in distress that is once again exploited

The animation was okay but the direction was very dissapointing compared to how well the arc was played out in manga form. Hell thebonly saving grace for this OVA is that the dub is funny because they keep swearing

At the end of the day, animation like these are just amusing, they're really not good or enjoyable at all unless you're a sick perverted fuck and apparently this is still the tamest of the Violence Jack OVAs.

This one’s got less charm but it’s also a lot less gross, it feels the least “Violence Jack” out of the three for sure but it’s still pretty solid. The story is maybe the most straight forward as well. I don’t like that they made jack into kind of a normal good guy that was a really weird decision.
