A very well-done romance dramedy starring two Spider-Man villains. Giamatti plays another miserable character well, and Haden Church plays another jerk well. Everyone and everything in this film is amazing, except for the ending, in my opinion. The ending is good, just not as strong as the rest of the film. I’ll just say it wasn’t bad enough for me to remove points from the film because of it. 

Overall, a strong 4.5/5. Payne has done Giamatti so well, even though he’s an outstanding actor on his own.

i guess I can’t really be too literal by saying both these men were pretty terrible people, but i can’t really say they were complex either, it felt like two white guys being horrible human beings and getting their happy ending anyways with women way out of their leagues, k. 

The dialogue is fantastic though.

I can see how some people would really like this movie, and some scenes were tense and/or nuanced, but it just didn't click for me overall. Too slow and the characters bahaved a little too predictably. Yawn.
