I'm not sure how to describe the vibe Maja Ma gives me. The best way to put it is by quoting an article I read that said it's 'a queer film targeted towards a straight audience'. That's not to say it's a bad film, though; just the acting from Madhuri Dixit is enough to carry the entire thing, but there's lots of elements that work well together. I really liked the glimpses of Pallavi and Kanchan's younger years, but there should've been way more, although I loved the scenes with the older versions too. Apart from them, I'm not exaggerating when I say every single character was rage-inducing, especially Pallavi's loose-lipped traitor of a daughter. But, overall, I think this a pretty good film all things considered, and it still made me cry buckets.
❝I want you as Kanchan, even in my next life.❞
