The deaths are ridiculous, it’s repetitive as hell, and characters enter and leave the story off-screen seemingly at random. I wanted to like it more, but its pacing and script issues are a bit too present and annoying for me to raise its rating. (The soundtrack almost did though)
So it’s not the greatest thing ever, but still a fascinating look at muslim conversion in pre-colonial Africa, and worth the watch imo.
