everything is political, especially when you're a dyke. and even when you're not, all of us are born into politics. people in power decide if we are worthy enough of having rights, of having an education, of having money for food and a roof over our heads. when you're a queer, you don't ask for it, you're just born that way. so, suck it up and live. it's terrifying to be openly yourself, especially under a fascist regime. but, what's really scarier? being unapologetically yourself, losing your rights, being stared at in public and having everyone's eyes on you when you step in a room. or, living a more comfortable, "normal" life, yet feeling completely dead inside, knowing that this isn't who you really are, no matter how hard you try to hide and push it down?
