Really contrived and honestly kind of boring. It becomes very predictable, it's the classic buddy-cop action/comedy formula. The whole switching identity thing felt entirely pointless, the tone is all over the place, and the central conflict is rushed and poorly established. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence gave phenomenal performances and the chemistry between their characters is present (Which is the main reason I think this got two sequels) but its like Training Day where if you take away the two leads, it's just an ok movie. Why does Tea Pantaleoni's character just completely change half way through the movie?
