Very 80s remake of a classic movie from the 40s.
D.O.A. has a very interesting premise that makes for a very entertaining film. Of course this is a remake therefore the movie itself doesn't get too many points for the premise.
Now i have seen the original, so i was happy to learn that this movie, while a remake, definitely had its own take on the story and is quite different in many ways.
As i stated earlier, this is very 80s. And while that does bring some positive elements, many of the movies flaws can probably also be attributed to this being made in the 80s. The music for one was a little too 80s and didn't always fit what was happening. Meg Ryan's character and her inevitable, but rather useless romance with Dennis Quaid is also a very 80s thing.
The aesthetic is very interesting throughout the movie and the acting was pretty good, especially from Dennis Quaid. With a shirt runtime and fun story this movie is pretty entertaining
