❝The gods whispered to the warrior, 'You will not withstand the fury.' The warrior whispers back, 'I am the fury!'❞

I love seeing Desi representation, and while I didn't vibe with every single aspect of Polite Society, it was still a very fun watch. There was a lot of humour, some good, some relying on second-hand embarrassment (which I can't abide), and really cool action sequences. The plot started off very strong, and I was really enjoying the progression, but during the end of the second act it took a very weird sci-fi-esque turn that kind of ruined the story for me; it was just a very abrupt change that didn't quite fit with the atmosphere up till that point. But I thought all the actors did very well, especially Priya Kansara and Ritu Arya, and on the whole I do think it's worth a watch.
