None of the westerns that I have seen to this point have been this psychological. The Ox-Bow Incident is an absolutely horrific exploration of sin and the meaning of it. The tone is extremely gloomy, the plot is very bleak, and the ending is anything but a nice wrap-up. A great film that I didn't know Henry Fonda was in prior to watching. Superb.
