As a long time fan of Louis and a newer fan of Joe List, I've been wanting to watch this movie for a long time. I was happily surprised by this film, and also by Joe List's performance.
I loved the way this movie captured the feeling of hopeless anxiety and struggling with familial relationships. The movie really picks up when he arrives at the lake house in Massachusetts. The family might have been the most convincing and realistic "movie family" I've ever seen. There's a lot of funny scenes, although I don't think it's supposed to be a pure comedy. It made me feel sad more than it made me laugh.
Enjoyable film, but compared to some of Louis' other work I found it a little underwhelming.
