A story of two young women struggling to make ends meet, both in impossible relationships (one with a rich fuckboy, the other with a friend in a coma), and neither of them with the emotional space to have any real control over their own lives. Their fast, unlikely friendship breaks down under pressure, and when their situations both change for the worse, neither of them can adapt. Sometimes hope is a luxury you literally can't afford.
Élodie Bouchez and Natacha Régnier are both spectacular here, and the story burns slowly, before inevitably consuming them both in the last few minutes.
This would make a solid play.
