bob ———— marvel shines best when they stop trying so hard to be marvel.
i have a lot of thoughts on this movie, most of which i won’t type out here. but one thing i really want to mention is that, more than anything, this movie truly earns and executes on its third act finale. there’s so much complexity, depth, and emotion in the last 30 minutes of this movie that i want to make a whole video essay disecting its beauty.
but tl;dr… the both literal and metaphorical representation of the final fight is one of the best superhero endings i have seen in awhile. it’s a great reminder that (literally) beating yourself up over your past, depression, and anger is not the answer.
be there for your friends. be there for yourself. life sucks, but it sucks a little less when you let people into your heart.
thank you marvel for giving me a movie about overcoming shame and loneliness that just so happens to include superheroes in it

florence pugh is 2/2 for times in a marvel movie she’s made me want her quirky eyeliner. pretty classic marvel movie but now mental illness is the enemy. pessimistically intrigued for where this will go.
