The way matthau and lemmon were together there's will be the most iconic duo of my all time.

i knew i was gonna enjoy this film as i've enjoyed other films by Billy Wilder... the humour and dynamics are outdated and it has lots of old fashioned negative remarks and portrayals (esp of women. a common theme in majority of old films unfortunately) but i still enjoyed everything bar all of that. its an overall brilliant film for its time!! a funny old film, just felt so classic! 

and ofc i watched it in my
media history class 😛

BILLY WILDER YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN!!! (sorta)

Lemmon and Matthau should just kiss each other at this point. Despite 3/4 of the film being in one set, it is just so good.

This movie made me realize that I have no memory of happens in His Girl Friday, which isn't too surprising because I refer to that movie as the cinematic equivalent of being trapped in a wind tunnel. With that being said, this is still a lesser version of the story, but still has plenty of appeal. Heck, it's Matthau, Lemmon, and Wilder, it's inevitably quite entertaining.
