I’m truly in awe of Żuławski‘s work, like, it’s not even funny anymore. I do think though that this is a movie that needs to be thought about and digested. I’m not quite ready to write about it just yet, but I just wanted to say that I loved it.

The world is better with a Żuławskian film interpretation of Doestoevsky. I liked very little of this, but also very open to the argument this is genius. There's just so much packed here. Probably needs two or three watches, even, to actually start properly understanding. I want to know what message or theme Żuławski was shouting about. The spirit of The Idiot seem a conduit for some other end goal. I'd like to know what that was. This film is like a splotch painting, each iteration of chaos and spontaneity begging for deconstruction and analysis. And yet it all feels so futile.
