I watched this film as a kid because I got stiffed out of a Madagascar DVD by my mum at ASDA, but I ended up really liking it. Maybe it's just because I was easily entertained, but it's really not as bad as people make out. Lucas as a protagonist is a little annoying, but, he's 10. It's forgivable. The animation is a little sloppy, not gonna lie, and the story gets muddled towards the end. But the voice-acting is great (I love you Meryl Streep) and I remember being obsessed with the giant jelly beans scene. Would easily watch again.
