Wait, is this the right movie? Oh! Eric Roberts credit. Ok all good.

Except not all good because this is the Silent Night Deadly Night 2 of the Carnosaur series. Or the Sleepaway Camp 4. Whatever. It’s just new scenes built around footage from the original Carnosaur. I’m still pretty light on Corman’s later productions but I bet this isn’t the only time they pulled this.

Corbin gets to wear his own clothes and hats. Wynorski shoves some fake boobs in. Eric Roberts is low energy but he’s still a real actor and seeing him act against his catatonic daughter in a hospital scene is pretty funny because Wynorski’s… casting tendencies…

I did love bringing back the actors to recycle their death scenes. That is probably the best thing about the movie and the closest thing it has to a reason for existing.

Unfortunately, the movie isn’t just recycling the first Carnosaur and Already Been Chewed Carnosaur 2 (and 3?) is an extremely unappealing proposition. Yes, slightly better looking dinos but it’s all the shit that sucks about the series mixed up into a confusing slurry of hallways, gunfire, and rubber raptors.

Always with the goddamn Bobcat skid steer fight.
