End of Days is a borderline nonsensical, overproduced, and awfully executed movie. It's tonally messy and incoherent. The script was completely awful. And just felt like it was remixing ideas that have already been done before, just adding poorly done action. On the other hand, I appreciated how they let Arnold be vulnerable, something I know rarely shows up in his roles. I also thought the production value was good, even if it did often over-rely on spectacles. I also just didn't find satan menacing or very intimidating as a villain. This movie is just so dumb and silly, though. It also just goes on for way too long, and the story is very poorly thought out, and it would have been better if it were just a quick in and out fun action horror movie. Overall, I am no longer surprised that despite making over 200 million dollars in 1999, it has 0 relevance today, in 2026.
