I remember it was around 2022, when i watched Fantastic Planet, when this bizzarre short popped up in my MUBI feed, but i must've forgoetten about it since it was wiped from the platform before i could get to watch it.
Today, watching Renaissance by Borowczyk, i remembered suddenly of it and after a lenghty search i've downloaded it from here, on the Internet Archive.
This is a really hectic and unique short, with one of the most bonkers animation styles i've come across. It's a mishmash of idyosincratic images and clashing colors that becomes so hypnotizing and weirdly beautiful. It's basically an animated Warsaw-Bloc kaiju movie (in fact, satyrical depiction of the west and its product are omnipresent, also suggesting the towering effects of consumerism) over the bizzarre metropolis that is attacked by the abducted aliens. Some animated sequences look like they were pulled from a late 70s anime! Really visionary conceptualization and actualization.
