This show so carefully and genuinely explores these characters and their relationships with themselves and each other. It balances comedy and deep, dark moments so well and nothing ever feels out of place.

This feels so honest and brave and I love how complex all of the characters are, they're all massively flawed but you always understand exactly where they're coming from.

There's a warmth here that makes you always want to stay in this world and be with these characters, while at the same time it gets dark and bleak and you just wish the absolute best for them at all times, even when they're trying to make you hate themselves.

This also probably has the most satisfying ending I've ever seen in a tv show.

michaela coel is an absolute treasure. this series honestly didn’t hook me right away but its overall tone and warmth on heavy subject matter made it very digestible. really glad i stuck with it cause the ending is wholly unique and i wish there was more media like this out there as a whole! would not mind at all if this had more seasons but i’m very pleased nonetheless that this show exists.

watching kwame assault not being taken seriously was so saddening. when arabella went to report her rape she was extremely respected and helped. but when a man went after the same support he got through the most uncomfortable questioning and treatment. i know most people that get SA’ed are woman, but how hypocritical are we by being negligent towards men that are also victims.
