I’m pretty young, so some topics were confusing and new to me, but I learned a lot. It’s surreal, satirical, and overall a lesson disguised as a quirky TV show. Boots Riley is great at making social commentary creative and enjoyable. I’m very excited for his next project, I Love Boosters, and what’s to come after that.
I also want to acknowledge the title cards. They were very creative, and I loved seeing how each episode used them differently. All in all, this is a surreal, funny, and socially smart underappreciated piece of art. I highly recommend.
