In fact, I wasn't too familiar with the Yorkshire Ripper beforehand. I think the documentary "The Ripper" does a good job of covering just about everything worth mentioning about the killer and the investigation and gave me a good insight into the case.

What I really liked is that the film goes into detail about the rather lousy police work and shows the many obvious errors and also shows how misogynistic both the reports at that time and the investigation were. But I think that the documentary could have been presented better, because although it is quite informative, it is sometimes not too interesting and in places a little bit boring. Still, "The Ripper" is a good documentary that could have been a little bit shorter but is still informative and mostly interesting.
