I am familiar with the unreliable narrator approach, but I found this hard to follow. Performances and script felt cheesy most of the time. Had some fun moments but not as many as you would expect when the whole story is a single season.

i think this is the first film/tv show i’ve ever seen that so explicitly explores multiracial/cultural identities. it draws interesting parallels between being mixed-race and the immigrant experience in america while using genre fluidity to underscore the in-betweenness these identities.

if you fully commit to america you are fully american. if not, you are a ghost caught between two worlds.
