this is a good show and was a great show until season 3. unfortunately it fell off for me & i simply did not care for the over-indulgent episodes (don’t hate me)

You don’t have to love cooking to love this show, but if you do you’re in for such a treat. Drops the ball in season 3, but you can forgive it for how much you love the characters the shots the chaos.

Every second counts chef

After rewatching the show in it’s entirety as well as the new fith and final season I feel confident in saying this is one of the best TV shows ever made.

The character work is absolutely phenomenal and you can’t help but fall in love with every single one of these characters over the shows run. Obviously I have my favourites but no character feels wasted to me, everyone gets a satisfying arc. Carmy is quite possibly my favourite TV character of all time, the way the show tackles themes of mental health, pressure and burden through him all feel so real.

I think the first 3 seasons are absolute perfection and whilst season 4 is a bit of a let down by comparison, it never failed to deliver the meaningful moments. I was worried we’d see a similar dip in quality going into season 5 but it was phenomenal. The structure of the season took me completely off guard as did the story they chose to tell. Certain things I’d been waiting since season 2 to see resolved only get implied endings and yet it wasn’t a let down, I think it’s better that way.
