in the same way that all of tarantino’s movies need to be 50% shorter, every episode of this show needs to be cut in half

i’ve tried to watch this show 4 different times at @jmo’s behest, and have only ever made it to the end of season 3

it’s just boring. the pacing is slow. i don’t like any of the characters. i’m not invested in anyone’s success, failure, life, or death.

i have lost interest in this show 4 separate times, which is by far and away a personal record for me

BEST SHOW OF ALL TIME

so close between this and Sopranos, but the fact that the show stopped when it was ahead lowkey cements this for me. I started rewatching this 2 weeks ago and I just finished the whole series.

Literally every episode is so engaging, I could not believe how good it still was. Also probably the best tv show ending imo. to create such high stakes, close all the loose ends, and give a realistic ending, but still one the fans will enjoy is so hard

I will say on the rewatch Walter did not come across as likable as he did the first time (probably bc I already know what happens)
