I think my dopamine hungry brain just couldn’t settle on this 😭 The vampire stuff is rather sporadic and the scenes in-between didn’t do much to engage me 😅 As far as I’m aware this is considered a bit of a classic but maybe it was just good for its time, more likely though I’m the problem here 🤣

Salems lot is a brilliant story and also show. I didn’t know how to log this as a film or a mini series as it can class for both but im going to do it as a show as ranking it amongst the movies would make this a four which seems way to harsh. Salems lot captures a feeling that I often get from brilliant horror shows, especially with this being from the 70s as that adds to the creepiness. The design of the vampire is iconic and is definitely one of the more scarier depictions of the character. I wish when HBO remade this they made it a show as it needs that extra runtime. I saw the remake first and I quite enjoyed it but I could tell it was missing something and watching the original has made that more apparent. Oh how a Mike Flanagan mini series on this would slap.
