What an absolute monster. When Gary Glitter popped up, knowing his crimes, I wanted to vomit. Saville was the epitome of a manipulative, charismatic, and intelligent villain. A mastermind serial sex-offender, not unlike many notorious serial killers.
The doc itself has some wonky editing that provides a TON of background, even though it somehow doesn’t reveal much about the subject’s history before fame. If I’m not mistaken, Part II is where we get the first victim interview, which is far too late. Per usual, this can be summed up in what could be a catchphrase for Netflix documentaries at this point, “longer than it needs to be.”
