Continuing my trend of WWII/Holocaust films and series... We Were the Lucky Ones was a very well told story of the reslience of a Jewish family who survived The Holocaust against all odds. And the fact that this is based on a true story is incredible. The performances helped elevate this limited series beyond the typical TV drama, particularly Joey King as Halina Kurc, who was haunting and passionate in her portrayal of a daughter and sister doing everything in her power to protect her family.
