Ok I will start off with saying this event I definitely did enjoy learning about and the clips actually from woodstock '99 are insane.

However, some of these guys they were interviewing undermined the entire disaster that woodstock '99 was. A lot of them are STILL in denial of how terrible of an experience it was for everyone, but especially for women, and they sat there and acted like it was a slightly out of hand event. That part pissed me off ngl because people did die, lots of people did get raped, and lots of people did get seriously injured.

The organizers of this event were also in la la land from the very beginning. Part of what made woodstock '69 the event it was was the music and the overall message and motive behind the event. The message of peace and love along with folk music and that kind of audience allowed it to flourish and be a notable experience of human love. However, '99 was doomed from the start because they just wanted to make money after the flop of woodstock '94. On top of that their lineup, while amazing artists that I love, was a terrible idea. That kind of music definitely can quickly invoke negative feelings in people because of how aggressive it was and the type of audience it often draws in. Like were they really shocked that this exploded knowing that they had Korn, The Offspring, and Limp Bizkit performing at an already messed up event? Especially Limp Bizkit because lets be real they were 1000% feeding into the crowd. Lastly ending with Red Hot Chilli Peppers could've been fine but the organizers bright idea was to give 250,000 riled up and angry people candles?? People were already destroying the place and then you give them fire?? Honestly woodstock '99 was a disaster waiting to happen.

Curioso compararlo con su contrapartida en HBO porque aun teniendo más material y durando media hora más, pasa por ciertos temas muy de puntillas. Además hace una cosa muy rara que es omitir ciertos grupos que actuaron (RATM, Metallica…): no sabemos si su ausencia es temas de derechos pero no deja de ser curioso. Por lo menos, algunos de sus protagonistas siguen siendo igual de cretinos. Prescindible si ya has visto el de HBO.

PEOPLE ARE GOING TO HAVE REACTIONS TO POOR CONDITIONS!!! Obviously people are gonna be pissed they’re paying a lot and it seems like the venue doesn’t give a shit. They blamed the crowd and ignored that fact 
They cut budgets for water,food,septic issues, etc 
Then this one guy they interviewed who basically ran Woodstock 99’ had the nerve to discredit all the sexual assaults and r*pe that took place 
But again this just shows how rich white capitalist men act and behave 
Besides that though I really enjoyed it and it was very entertaining as well as eye opening and informational 
Greed really does ruin everything
