I've never read the manga or watched the anime this series is based on, so going in blind I wasn't completely sure what to expect. But Parasyte: The Grey ended up really surprising me; it was action-packed, a little unsettling at times, and dark as shit. Jeon So-nee and Koo Kyo-hwan gave excellent performances, both playing off each other in comedic and more serious moments very well; the rest of the cast were decent, but no-one else in particular stood out to me. The plot was interesting, to say the least, but the pacing was a little off, and in my opinion, it really took a while for the story to get started, which in turn meant that the ending felt rushed, since there are only six episodes. Overall, though, I think it's worth giving this series a watch, if only for the awesome visuals, and I definitely need to check out the manga immediately.
