I get that it's been tough figuring out who should take over Daniel Craig's role as James Bond, but they really don't need to look anywhere else. I seriously think Eddie Redmayne would be a great fit for the part. To me, he's already kind of nailing the James Bond vibe in 'The Days Of The Jackal' series, where he's basically playing an darker version of the character.

If the ‘Penguin’ TV show had never existed, I believe ‘The Day of the Jackal’ would undoubtedly be the best TV show of 2024. Going into this series, I had no idea what to expect, as I haven't read the book or seen the movie from which it draws much of its inspiration. However, the series itself is a suspense masterpiece. The storytelling is exceptional, the pacing keeps you engaged, and the cinematography, along with some of the camera shots, is mind-blowing. The music score is perfect; once I heard ‘Radiohead,’ I became even more interested in watching. In my opinion, if I had to compare this amazing show to another with a similar vibe, I would say it’s a perfect blend of ‘True Detective’ season one and ‘Barry’. Aside from ‘Barry Berkman’, I have never rooted for an assassin more. I honestly thought he would probably end up dying at the end of this season, and I would have been quite disappointed about it because I love this show so much.

Also, whoever was hired as the cinematographer for this show deserves a pay raise and should definitely return for season two. I’m not exaggerating when I say there are so many AMAZING camera shots in this series. My favorite shot was in episode 10, when Bianca and Duggan faced each other under the red and blue lights—it was an insane camera shot that had me hyped for the final showdown. I'm so glad to hear that it has been renewed for season two!
