Overall this was a fun watch and I did enjoy a lot of it. I was glad that when it came to the topic of the Jazz Singer they did not refrain from the controversy of it.
I do wish tho that there was a lot more upon the beginning of the company as I feel it was glossed over, and that is what I was most interested in. Especially on The golden age of Hollywood of the 50s I needed more of it.
A lot of the companies negatives was not discussed except for a brief mention on the contract issues in the silver/golden age. So this was more so a dedication to film cinema and the company’s involvement.
I do wish tho that there was a lot more upon the beginning of the company as I feel it was glossed over, and that is what I was most interested in. Especially on The golden age of Hollywood of the 50s I needed more of it.

Spijtig dat (nog) niet alleen films die hier besproken worden op hbo max te zien zijn.

Could’ve lightened up on the propaganda a bit and maybe not had so many David Zalzsv talking heads given that he’s single handedly destroying the company, but still an enjoyable docuseries. Warner Brothers is really so integral to the history of Hollywood, so it still provides a fascinating look at the tv/film industry through the years and the business and trends of the different decades.
