ATHLETE. I'm not particularly fond of the modern culture around bodybuilding, but Arnold Schwarzenegger is purely inspirational. Still, I was disappointed that this was a glorified motivational edit, instead of an emotional and sentimental journey.

ACTOR. What an improvement! And man, I did not expect to see Sylvester Stallone in this. What a treat. Arnold provides insight on the struggle of moving on from bodybuilding, his experience as a family man, and his cinema prominence.

AMERICAN. I went into this knowing almost nothing of Arnold's political career. And man, Arnold is his most vulnerable here. It's pretty interesting how the focus is on Arnold's reflection of how his political career would shape his life, instead of simply stating his greatest feats.

ARNOLD sometimes seems like it's full of schmäh. It's visually beautiful and structurally coherent, but it lacks creativity and authenticity. I felt emotionally blue-balled; it would've been cool for Arnold to have shared his struggles more openly, but this documentary is consistently inspiring.
